Whim turns an idea, a story or lyrics into a real sung song, with music and its own cover art.

Tell ChatGPT what the song is about, or ask it to write the lyrics, and say "make it a real song". Add a sound if you have one in mind, like dreamy 80s synth-pop, late-night jazz or a big pop chorus. The song plays right in the chat.

Want to send it? Tap "Get a link to share" and your song gets its own page on onwhim.app.

Try a birthday song for a friend, a diss track for the dry texter, or what happened in your group chat last night.

Each person can make one song here. Full songs and more are coming in the Whim iPhone app, and you can join early access from the player.

## How to use

1. **Add it in ChatGPT** Open Whim in ChatGPT's Plugin directory (button above), select + to add it and sign in if asked.

2. **Use it in a chat** Type @ in the composer and pick Whim, or start your message with its name. ChatGPT may also suggest it when it fits what you ask.
