## About

Accurate word and character counts for drafts, essays, and snippets — using the same rules as ibm.io/wordcount. Returns words, characters, sentences, paragraphs, and reading time. Includes an in-chat widget for quick visual summary. Text is processed in memory and not stored. For private editing with word goals, link to the full offline browser app.

## How to use

1. **Add it in ChatGPT** Open Word Counter in ChatGPT's Plugin directory (button above), select + to add it and sign in if asked.

2. **Use it in a chat** Type @ in the composer and pick Word Counter, or start your message with its name. ChatGPT may also suggest it when it fits what you ask.
