## About

Adyen's official MCP server (alpha) exposes Checkout and Management API operations to LLM clients, including payment sessions, payment links, cancels and refunds, merchant accounts, terminals and webhooks. It runs locally via npx with an Adyen API key against the TEST or LIVE environment.

## Install

1. **Add the server to Codex**

   Codex CLI:

   ```bash
   codex mcp add adyen --env ADYEN_API_KEY=YOUR_ADYEN_API_KEY -- npx -y @adyen/mcp --env=TEST
   ```

   config.toml:

   ```toml
   [mcp_servers.adyen]
   command = "npx"
   args = ["-y", "@adyen/mcp", "--env=TEST"]
   [mcp_servers.adyen.env]
   ADYEN_API_KEY = "YOUR_ADYEN_API_KEY"
   ```

   Agents SDK:

   ```python
   from agents import Agent, Runner
   from agents.mcp import MCPServerStdio
   async with MCPServerStdio(
       name="Adyen",
       params={"command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "@adyen/mcp", "--env=TEST"]},
   ) as server:
       agent = Agent(name="Assistant", mcp_servers=[server])
       result = await Runner.run(agent, "Create a payment link for EUR 50 for order 1234")
       print(result.final_output)
   ```
