## About

Official Chrome DevTools MCP server that gives agents control of a live Chrome instance via Puppeteer. Agents can automate input, inspect network requests and console messages, record performance traces with DevTools insights, run Lighthouse audits and analyze heap snapshots.

## Install

1. **Add the server to Codex**

   Codex CLI:

   ```bash
   codex mcp add chrome-devtools -- npx -y chrome-devtools-mcp@latest
   ```

   config.toml:

   ```toml
   [mcp_servers.chrome-devtools]
   command = "npx"
   args = ["-y", "chrome-devtools-mcp@latest"]
   ```

   Agents SDK:

   ```python
   from agents import Agent, Runner
   from agents.mcp import MCPServerStdio
   async with MCPServerStdio(
       name="Chrome DevTools MCP",
       params={"command": "npx", "args": ["-y", "chrome-devtools-mcp@latest"]},
   ) as server:
       agent = Agent(name="Assistant", mcp_servers=[server])
       result = await Runner.run(agent, "Check the LCP of web.dev and suggest fixes")
       print(result.final_output)
   ```
