## About

Cloudflare's remote Observability MCP server queries the Workers Observability API to analyze logs and metrics, list events, calculate metrics and find specific invocations. Helper tools discover available log fields and values for building precise filters.

## Install

1. **Connect it in ChatGPT** Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT (Settings → Security and login), open Plugins, select + and paste https://observability.mcp.cloudflare.com/mcp as the MCP server URL, then sign in with OAuth. Add it to a chat from the composer's tools menu.

2. **Or add it to Codex or the API**

   Codex CLI:

   ```bash
   codex mcp add cloudflare-observability --url https://observability.mcp.cloudflare.com/mcp
   codex mcp login cloudflare-observability
   ```

   config.toml:

   ```toml
   [mcp_servers.cloudflare-observability]
   url = "https://observability.mcp.cloudflare.com/mcp"
   ```

   Responses API:

   ```python
   import os
   from openai import OpenAI
   client = OpenAI()
   response = client.responses.create(
       model="gpt-6-astra",
       tools=[{
           "type": "mcp",
           "server_label": "cloudflare_observability",
           "server_url": "https://observability.mcp.cloudflare.com/mcp",
           "authorization": os.environ["CLOUDFLARE_OBSERVABILITY_API_KEY"],
           "require_approval": "never",
       }],
       input="Show error logs for my api Worker in the last hour",
   )
   print(response.output_text)
   ```
