## About

DeepWiki's free remote MCP server by Cognition gives agents access to AI-generated documentation for public GitHub repositories. Agents can list documentation topics, read wiki contents and ask grounded questions about a repository. No authentication is required for public repos.

## Install

1. **Connect it in ChatGPT** Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT (Settings → Security and login), open Plugins, select + and paste https://mcp.deepwiki.com/mcp as the MCP server URL. Add it to a chat from the composer's tools menu.

2. **Or add it to Codex or the API**

   Codex CLI:

   ```

   config.toml:
