## About

Railway's official MCP server lets coding agents create and manage projects, deploy templates and apps, configure environments and variables, and analyze logs. It connects via the Railway CLI (railway mcp) or directly with OAuth, and a local mode is available for restricted networks. Destructive actions are flagged at the protocol level.

## Install

1. **Connect it in ChatGPT** Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT (Settings → Security and login), open Plugins, select + and paste https://mcp.railway.com as the MCP server URL, then sign in with OAuth. Add it to a chat from the composer's tools menu.

2. **Or add it to Codex or the API**

   Codex CLI:
