## About

Semrush's official remote MCP server exposes its SEO API, Trends API (traffic and market data) and read-only Projects API to AI assistants. It uses Streamable HTTP with OAuth 2.1 by default, or an API key in the Authorization header. Access requires a qualifying Semrush plan with API units or a Trends API plan.

## Install

1. **Connect it in ChatGPT** Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT (Settings → Security and login), open Plugins, select + and paste https://mcp.semrush.com/v2/mcp as the MCP server URL, then sign in with OAuth. Add it to a chat from the composer's tools menu.

2. **Or add it to Codex or the API**

   Codex CLI:
