## About

Statsig's official remote MCP server gives agents access to feature gates, experiments, dynamic configs, metrics and logs in your Statsig project. It runs over Streamable HTTP; OAuth is recommended, or you can pass a Console API key in the statsig-api-key header. Read-only keys limit the agent to viewing data.

## Install

1. **Connect it in ChatGPT** Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT (Settings → Security and login), open Plugins, select + and paste https://api.statsig.com/v3/mcp as the MCP server URL, then sign in with OAuth. Add it to a chat from the composer's tools menu.

2. **Or add it to Codex or the API**

   Codex CLI:

   ```bash
   codex mcp add statsig --url https://api.statsig.com/v3/mcp
   codex mcp login statsig
   ```

   config.toml:

   ```toml
   [mcp_servers.statsig]
   url = "https://api.statsig.com/v3/mcp"
   ```

   Responses API:

   ```python
   import os
   from openai import OpenAI
   client = OpenAI()
   response = client.responses.create(
       model="gpt-6-astra",
       tools=[{
           "type": "mcp",
           "server_label": "statsig",
           "server_url": "https://api.statsig.com/v3/mcp",
           "authorization": os.environ["STATSIG_API_KEY"],
           "require_approval": "never",
       }],
       input="Which feature gates haven't been changed in 90 days?",
   )
   print(response.output_text)
   ```
