## About

The official Svelte MCP server gives agents access to Svelte and SvelteKit documentation sections, a static-analysis autofixer that checks generated components, and playground links for sharing code. It is available as a public remote server with no authentication, and can also run locally.

## Install

1. **Connect it in ChatGPT** Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT (Settings → Security and login), open Plugins, select + and paste https://mcp.svelte.dev/mcp as the MCP server URL. Add it to a chat from the composer's tools menu.

2. **Or add it to Codex or the API**

   Codex CLI:

   ```bash
   codex mcp add svelte --url https://mcp.svelte.dev/mcp
   ```

   config.toml:

   ```toml
   [mcp_servers.svelte]
   url = "https://mcp.svelte.dev/mcp"
   ```

   Responses API:

   ```python
   from openai import OpenAI
   client = OpenAI()
   response = client.responses.create(
       model="gpt-6-astra",
       tools=[{
           "type": "mcp",
           "server_label": "svelte",
           "server_url": "https://mcp.svelte.dev/mcp",
           "require_approval": "never",
       }],
       input="How do runes replace stores in Svelte 5?",
   )
