OpenAI's first-party Gmail app lets ChatGPT summarize inbox activity, draft replies and organize email threads. It began as a ChatGPT connector and is now listed as an app.
How to use
- 1Add it in ChatGPT
Open Gmail in ChatGPT's Plugin directory (button above), select + to add it and sign in if asked.
- 2Use it in a chat
Type @ in the composer and pick Gmail, or start your message with its name. ChatGPT may also suggest it when it fits what you ask.
Things to ask
- “Gmail, summarize the last 5 messages in this thread and list open questions”
- “Gmail, draft a polite, firm reply to our auditor's latest email”
- “Gmail, turn my latest customer escalation thread into an action tracker”
- “Gmail, find all receipts from last month”
