Octen gives ChatGPT live information from the web through Octen's hosted MCP server: real-time web search with query-relevant highlights and filters, a dedicated news vertical, broad multi-angle search for research and comparisons, clean URL-to-markdown extraction for reading and grounding answers, and (invite-only beta) image and video search. Users connect their Octen account via OAuth; no API key configuration is needed.
How to use

Open Octen in ChatGPT's Plugin directory (button above), select + to add it and sign in if asked.
- 2Use it in a chat
Type @ in the composer and pick Octen, or start your message with its name. ChatGPT may also suggest it when it fits what you ask.
