Investigate files, URLs, domains and IP addresses with VirusTotal threat intelligence. Read existing reports and interpret detections together with analysis dates and coverage. A missing report is an unknown result, not a safety verdict.
Analyze an explicitly authorized ChatGPT attachment using its original file object, or supply a small file as explicit bytes. VTAI hashes the original content and uploads it only after confirming that VirusTotal does not already know it. Contributing a new file does not spend report-query quota. Retrieving an existing report, including repeated lookups and analysis-status reads, consumes query quota; receipt recovery is free. File contributions have separate abuse limits.
For authorized network analysis, submit a URL or request domain/IP reanalysis. Keep each request ID, recover its receipt after an interruption, and follow its registered analysis without repeating an uncertain submission.
Connect with Google sign-in through VirusTotal AI (VTAI); no VirusTotal API key is required. Permissions and quotas apply to your account across connections. Revoke access from VTAI at any time.
Standard submissions are shared with VirusTotal and may be available to its security community and partners. Ask before sharing personal documents, internal code, credentials or personal data. Complete URLs, including query strings and fragments, are disclosed. The remote connector cannot read local filesystem paths. Report evidence does not guarantee safety.

Open VirusTotal in ChatGPT's Plugin directory (button above), select + to add it and sign in if asked.

Type @ in the composer and pick VirusTotal, or start your message with its name. ChatGPT may also suggest it when it fits what you ask.
