Netlify's official MCP server lets AI agents create and manage projects, deploy sites, manage environment variables, access controls, form submissions and extensions. A remote server is recommended, and a local stdio package (@netlify/mcp) is available for restricted environments.

Connect

  1. 1Connect it in ChatGPT

    Turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT (Settings → Security and login), open Plugins, select + and paste https://netlify-mcp.netlify.app/mcp as the MCP server URL, then sign in with OAuth. Add it to a chat from the composer's tools menu.

  2. 2Or add it to Codex or the API
    codex mcp add netlify --url https://netlify-mcp.netlify.app/mcp
codex mcp login netlify

    The login command opens a browser to finish OAuth.
