The shadcn MCP server, built into the shadcn CLI, lets coding agents browse and search components, blocks and templates from the shadcn/ui registry and any configured public, private or third-party registries, then install them into your project. It runs locally via npx and needs no auth for the public registry; private registries can use headers from environment variables.
