The text-to-cad plugin gives your agent local workflows for generating 3D models as STEP, GLB, STL or 3MF files. It also does design for manufacturing checks, generates engineering drawings, and connects to popular 3D printing, sheet metal and CNC fabrication services.
Runs locally: needs the ChatGPT desktop app or Codex with local execution enabled.
Install

Open Plugins in the ChatGPT sidebar (web or desktop), search for “text-to-cad” and select +. You'll be asked to sign in to any connected service on first use. Then type @ in a chat to call it.
