Guest-Ready Score is a 12-question assessment that measures how ready a short-term rental is to welcome guests. It is designed for Airbnb hosts, short-term rental owners, vacation rental operators, and owners of cottages, cabins, lake houses, beach houses, chalets, condos, apartments, guest houses, lodges, villas, ski properties, waterfront rentals, country homes, tiny homes, furnished rentals and holiday rentals.
The assessment reviews twelve core areas of the guest stay: arrival and check-in, beds and sleeping comfort, bathrooms, kitchen readiness, lighting, temperature and climate comfort, Wi-Fi, cleanliness, restocking, guest communication, safety, and local information. It takes about two minutes and provides a Guest-Ready Score showing the areas already working well and the areas where attention will most improve the stay.
Use Guest-Ready Score to check whether a property is ready to list, prepare for a first guest, audit an existing rental, benchmark against hospitality standards, or find the areas most likely to lift guest reviews.
The standards come from The Guest Before The Rest by Valerie Balderson and Greg Hoover, drawn from seventeen years of furnished rental management in Ottawa, Canada.
